The electronic devices provided by Joivy are of the same standard in all of our apartments. The information below therefore applies to the vast majority of dishwashers in our apartments. In the event of a technical problem such as an electrical connection problem, an issue with one of the pieces, or a general issue with functioning, our technical team is on hand to help you.
Any problem which results due to lack of care or incorrect use will be your responsibility.
Checking the connections :
The water connections :
- The water inlet (the grey and hard hose) must be connected to the dishwasher and to the metallic pipe with a tap on the wall.
- The water outlet (the grey flexible hose) must be connected to the dishwasher and to the PVC pipe on the wall.
The electrical connection :
- Make sure that the dishwasher is plugged into an electrical outlet.
- If your dishwasher is not turning on, make sure to check the switchboard in your apartment to see that the corresponding switch is on. If you cannot turn it on, then please get in touch with us.
I have a technical problem with my machine :
Leak :
- Turn off the tap on the wall where the water inlet is next to the dishwasher.
- Make sure that the water does not reach any electrical appliances - you will need to turn these off
- Check the water inlet pipes, as mentioned at the top of this article
One of the racks will not come out of the dishwasher :
- Check that nothing is preventing you from taking it out of the machine. Cup and mug handles can often block the rack from being pulled out properly.
- Make sure that the rack is correctly lined with its wheels on the runners
The plates are still dirty :
- Were the plates correctly positioned and spaced apart?
- If so, you may need to select a more intensive program at a higher temperature
- You may need to use a larger quantity of detergent, or to use a different brand of detergent that is recommended by the manufacturer of the machine.
- You may need to add more rinse liquid, (liquide de rinçage), to the reservoir. This will need to be added from time to time to maintain the machine properly.
- It could also be that the spraying arms are blocked from turning. Make sure that none of the plates are blocking these arms from turning before launching another cycle
- It might also be that the filters have not been correctly cleaned. You will need to clean the filter out before making sure to lock it back into the correct position
- If you are living in an area with hard water, there may be limescale on the kitchenware. In which case, you will need to add more detergent
The plates are not drying correctly :
- It is possible that the plates and bowls were positioned too close together. You will need to spread them out evenly.
- You may need to add more rinse liquid, (liquide de rinçage), to the reservoir. This will need to be added from time to time to maintain the machine properly.
- You may have selected a program that is not appropriate. You can launch another a cycle with a longer and more intensive program to see how this works.
