There are several different types of heating in our apartments, as you can see below :
It will depend on the type of heating you have in your apartment as to whether you can change the temperature or not. You can find what type of heating you have in your apartment in the article you received when you picked up your keys. Alternatively, you can ask our support team.
If you have collective heating in your building, the maximum and minimum temperature is controlled by the building management company. You will only be able to control the temperature using the dial on the radiators of your apartment in this case.
If you encounter any issues with this, please contact our support team.
If you have a way of controlling the temperature from your apartment, you will be able to do so by following the instructions below.
Checking the temperature:
On the radiator :
In most cases a dial can be found on the side of your radiator. It may be located either at the top or the bottom of the radiator.
Central termperature control :
In some apartments the heating is also centralised through a small control panel which is often located in the biggest room. You will be able to control the temperature for the entire apartment by using this panel
Checking my electric heater :
- In certain cases, your electric radiator may be plugged into a standard plug socket. Check underneath or next to the radiator that the plug is fully connected to the heater.
- Check that the radiator is switched on. If you have an electric radiator with a number displayed, on the display pad there will be an "on" button
If your electric radiator does not have a digital display, you will be able to switch it on and off using a button located on the side and adjust the temperature using a knob or a dial. Make sure to check that the on/off button is switched on and that the temperature knob is not at a temperature under '5' in order for it to produce heat, like in the photo below.
Checking the boiler:
If you have a boiler in your apartment and you wish to increase or decrease the temperature directly on the boiler, you can do it by adjusting the dial which is next to the radiator symbol on the display :
The recommended temperature in winter is somewhere between 55°C and 60°C. You will then need to adjust it down when the weather gets a little warmer.
If you are not having any luck heating the apartment, please contact our support team.
Switching the heating off for summer :
This change helps to reduce the energy consumption levels of the apartment, protecting both the environment and the boiler itself.
On an old boiler:
You will need to put the thermostat dial of the radiator onto the sunshine icon (the icon can be different depending on your boiler's reference) :
On a digital boiler :
You will need to select the "Hot Water Only" mode, ("EAU CHAUDE UNIQUEMENT"). You can do so by clicking on, "Mode" and then scrolling to make sure that "EAU CHAUDE UNIQUEMENT" is displayed.
Please note that using your heating will significantly increase your energy consumption. Although everything is included in your bills, it is worth checking how much you use for the sake of the planet.
