I don't understand how the device works?
You can download the manual of the machine to understand its different modes here (instructions in French). If the manual does not correspond to the one for the fridge in your apartment, please get into contact with us via support.france@joivy.com
You will need to send us photos of the fridge and of the model number, which can normally be found inside or behind the fridge.

I have a technical problem with my fridge:
-
- The electrical connection:
- Make sure the refrigerator is plugged into an electrical outlet. You can try connecting another device to this plug to check it works.
- If there is no power or indicator light, check your electrical switchboard and the switch which corresponds to your fridge or kitchen
-
- Is the fridge making a noise?
- Unplug the refrigerator.
- Check that nothing is blocking or hindering the back of the refrigerator.
- Check that the refrigerator is not wobbly.
- Reconnect it to the electrical outlet.
If the noise continues, please contact customer service.
-
- Does the fridge need defrosting?
- Check the seal of the doors. If there is space between the seal and the surface of the refrigerator, air from the apartment will enter the fridge. This will cause it to increase its power to keep the food fresh - this is where the frost comes from. If you have any doubts, please contact our technical team
- Check the thermostat. Try reducing the level to make the fridge less cold.
If the frost is still present, below is some advice as to how to defrost your fridge. We advise you to do this once per month.
- Empty the fridge. Please be aware that it will need to be empty for several hours
- Turn the fridge off by putting the temperature gauge on 0 and then unplugging it
- Wait for all of the frost to melt
- Clean the fridge with a warm, soapy cloth. Make sure the soapy water does not come into contact with the lamp or with the small hole at the back of the fridge
- Clean the seal of the door just with water, no soap, and then dry it out completely
- After you have cleaned, plug the fridge back in and turn it on
- Put your food back in place
-
- Is there water at the bottom of the fridge?
The presence of a puddle of water in the fridge means that the pathway of the defrosting water is obstructed. In order to resolve this issue, you must check that there is no food in contact with the back of the inside of the fridge, as this could be how the water is being blocked.
If there is no food touching against the back or the sides of the fridge, you must check to see that the hole which is located at the rear, (just above the vegetable storage drawer), is not obstructed. If it is, you can unblock it using a bendy piece of wire or a toothpick.

- The refrigerator light does not work?
Below are instructions as to how you can change the lamp in your fridge:
- Pull the cover of the lamp towards the front of the fridge
- Take out the lamp that is currently in place and replace it with a new one. It should be a 10w, E14 bulb which is available in most supermarkets.
- Replace the cover of the light by pushing it back on.
-
- The fridge is not cold enough:
- Turn the temperature down on the dial on the inside of the fridge
- If the problem continues, please contact our support team via support.france@joivy.com
