Here's a quick outline of our concept: Joivy specializes in "ready to live" flatshares.
Here at Joivy, everything is in place to make sure that your move and overall experience is as smooth as possible.
Our team has selected, then renovated, equipped, and decorated the properties across the biggest French cities. Here is how our offer provides unparalleled levels of comfort and service :

So, how does it all work? How do I pick a room?
๐ก Visit
Virtually visit your city of choice (PARIS | LYON | MONTPELLIER | LILLE | TOULOUSE | BORDEAUX). By clicking on these links, you can see all of the apartments that correspond to your price and location preferences. Youโll find all the details (address, current flatmates, photos, etc.) by clicking on the bedroom's page.
We do not organise in person viewings because you will find all of the details about the accommodation on our website. In order to respect the peace and comfort of our tenants, we do not want to request for them to show several people round the apartment each week. This also means that no viewings will be arranged during your stay in your accommodation.
If you wish, we can give you the e-mail addresses of the tenants in your preferred flat so that you can get to know them before making your decision. Please note that our tenants are not under any obligation to show you round the accommodation and we cannot guarantee that the bedroom you like will remain available in the time it takes for them to answer you. Do not hesitate to ask our team if you want to communicate with your potential future flatmates!
โ๏ธ Reserve
As with all of our tenants, you can reserve your bedroom directly on our site by clicking on the button, "Rent this bedroom", to the right of the bedroom's page, and by then following the steps on screen. This should not take any more than about 10 minutes. Once the Service Fee has been paid, the bedroom is blocked under your name, and you will be able to move in from the day it becomes available.
๐ณ Service Fee, Rent, Bills et Deposit
The Service Fee corresponds to the value of the services listed above that will be provided throughout your stay. You can get in touch with our team to know the price of the Service Fee in the city you are looking for a bedroom.
Rents are indicated including all charges (including internet and house insurance).
Some of our rooms are eligible for two people to share. You just have to add 200โฌ to the total figure of your rent and bills if you wish to share an eligible room.
The deposit is to be paid at least a day before moving, at the very latest. You will need to have paid your deposit to receive your rental contract. The deposit will be charged, and then reimbursed after you have left the apartment.
๐ Tenancy File
With Joivy, itโs simple. We do not select our tenants. We operate on a "first come, first served basis", meaning that the first person to reserve will block the room in their name.
In order to check if you will need a guarantor to rent one of our rooms, and to check what documents you will need to provide us with, please complete this simulator. It will inform you as to what documents you will need to upload to your Joivy account once you have reserved your room.

๐ง When will the rent begin? Is it possible to reserve in advance?
Once the bedroom is reserved, the rent will always begin from the date of availability. That means that if you reserve a room available immediately, even if you want to move in a day, a week or a month after the reservation, the rent will still begin from the date of availability. It is not possible to reserve a bedroom in advance, without paying the rent from the date the room belongs to you.
โ ๏ธ Be aware! If you decide to wait to reserve your room, you run the following risks:
- The room that interested you will no longer be available as someone else will have reserved it.
- You will have less choice and the rent will have become more expensive.
Our rents increase in relation to the level of traffic we receive on our website. There is a gradual increase in the levels of rent of around 20% between June and September.

๐ How long can I actually stay in a Joivy flatshare ?
