If you happen to find a room that you think would suit your needs better, we offer an option to move to alternative Joivy accommodation. This is called a "room switch".
Our team will be there to assist you with the necessary steps you need to take. However, there are many steps our team has to take to proceed with a room switch, so there will be an administrative fee to take into account if you plan to go ahead with the change..
In order to complete a room switch, you will need to follow these steps:
- Contact Joivy
- Confirmation of the change with the booking team
- Organisation of exit inventory check
- Access to your new room
1. Contact Joivy
To start the room switch process, please contact our booking team via coliving.france@joivy.com to explain your situation.
Things to know before you start:
- The relocation process will involve an administrative cost between 290€ and 590€ depending on your situation.
- You will just need to give us a 48 hours departure notice so we can plan your check-out. (Our office is open from 9:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday, so these 48 hours do not apply to the weekend).
- The rent of your current room will stop on your check-out date. The rent for your new room will begin on the date that it is available from on our site.

Your deposit will be transferred to your new contract so that you will not have to pay it again or wait for the refund.
2. Confirmation of the change with the booking team
Our team will suggest some rooms that are available corresponding to what you are looking for, depending on our current availabilities.
When you have found a room that fits your needs, the booking team will send you an email with a summary of the payments that will need to be made to proceed with the switch on your Joivy account.
3. Organisation of exit inventory check
To confirm this switch, our team will have asked you to confirm the date and time of the check-out from your current room. One of our check-out agents will come to your current room to complete a check-out report with you and take back your keys.
In this case, you will not have to respect the notice period indicated in your contract. The notice period for a room switch is only 48 hours
4. Access to your new room
Now for retrieving your keys to access your new room, you will need to tell us your check-in date for the new room you have just reserved. (You can do this via your Joivy account).
A new contract and inventory will be prepared for you to sign online.
In order to pick up your new keys, you will first need to have paid any unpaid invoices on your account, and to have signed your new contract.
You will then receive an email containing all the details you need to move into your new room.
